Water depth influence on wave–structure-interaction
Ocean Engineering, 2009For seakeeping model tests and the experimental investigation of offshore operations the water depth is a parameter which is difficult to adjust to a particular problem and scale. It poses a limit for the feasibility of model tests by governing the model scale-especially in small testing facilities. Therefore, it is often desirable to violate or ignore

Nonlinear Effect on Wave-Structure Interaction
Volume 5: Ocean Engineering; CFD and VIV, 2012Accurate prediction on the behaviour of the nonlinear waves in a coastal environment is vital to the safe design and performance of coastal defence. This paper is concerned with the description of tsunami wave-island interaction, and includes both linear and nonlinear modelling of the maximum free surface motion arising within distorted flow field.

Nonlinear water-wave structure interaction
Computers & Structures, 1992Abstract A numerical model of the interaction of highly deformable fluid-filled membranes and ocean waves has been developed and verified. The fluid domain is modeled using a boundary element model and the membrane is modeled using a finite element model. The finite element model was developed previously, and required little modification.
