Electromagnetic Wave Dynamics in Matter-Wave Superradiant Scattering
Physical Review Letters, 2010We present a small-signal wave propagation theory on matter-wave superradiant scattering. We show, in a longitudinally excited condensate, that the backward-propagating, superradiantly generated optical field propagates with ultraslow group velocity and that the small-signal gain profile has a Bragg resonance.

Dynamics of coupled light waves and electron-acoustic waves
Physical Review E, 2002The nonlinear interaction between coherent light waves and electron-acoustic waves in a two-electron plasma is considered. The interaction is governed by a pair of equations comprising a Schrödinger-like equation for the light wave envelope and a driven (by the light pressure) electron-acoustic wave equation.

Traveling Waves of Bistable Dynamics on a Lattice
SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, 2003Summary: We prove the existence of stationary or traveling waves in a lattice dynamical system arising in the theory of binary phase transitions. The system allows infinite-range couplings with positive and negative weights. The allowance for negative coupling coefficients precludes the possibility of a maximum principle.

The Dynamics of Charge Density Waves
Reviews of Modern Physics, 1985In many materials with a highly anisotropic band structure, electron-phonon interactions lead to a novel type of ground state called the charge-density wave. The condensate is pinned to the underlying lattice by impurities and by boundary effects, but can, even for small electric fields, carry current in a fashion originally envisioned by Fr\"ohlich ...

The Dynamics of Scroll Waves in Excitable Media
SIAM Review, 1992Summary: An overview is given of the attempts to understand the behavior of scroll waves in three-dimensional excitable media using analytical methods, and these results are compared with recent numerical and experimental results. The behavior of untwisted planar scroll rings, twisted rings and helices, and knotted scroll wave filaments is discussed.
