High Entropy Wide‐Bandgap Borates with Broadband Luminescence and Large Nonlinear Optical properties
High‐entropy rare‐earth borates exhibit excellent nonlinear optical and broadband luminescence properties arising from multi‐component doping, chemical disorder, increased configurational entropy, and increased lattice and electronic anharmonicity. This formulation enabled us to obtain a large, environmentally stable single crystal with 3X higher laser‐

Control of Wave Energy Converters Using Reinforcement Learning
Efficient control of wave energy converters (WECs) is crucial for maximizing energy capture and reducing the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE). In this study, we employ a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) framework based on the Soft Actor-Critic (SAC) and ...

Ultrathin AlOxHy interlayers between aluminum films and polymer substrates significantly improve electro‐mechanical properties of flexible thin film systems. By precisely controlling interlayer thickness using atomic layer deposition, this study identifies an optimal interlayer thickness of 5–10 nm that enhances ductility and delays cracking.

Strong exciton‐photon coupling is achieved by integrating porphyrin ligand‐based MOF nanoparticles in optical cavities, as evidenced by pronounced polariton branch anticrossing. The porous nature of the resonator enables precise, reversible tuning via vapor pressure, unlocking unprecedented chemical‐environment controlled dynamic polaritonic platforms ...

Wave power absorption with wave energy converters
Wave power absorption with Wave Energy Converters (WECs) arrays and isolated WEC is predicted with an in-house transient wave-multibody numerical tool of ITUWAVE which uses time marching scheme to solve a Boundary Integral Equation (BIE) for the analyses of hydrodynamic radiation and exciting forces.

A Cu‐based crystal‐glass composite with high‐density twins is identified by a fast screening technique using combinatorial sputtering together with XRD and nanoindentation mapping. This bamboo‐like structure demonstrates homogenous plastic flow and retains high strength during in situ high temperature tests, up to 1 GPa at 550°C, owing to those ...
