Eigenwavelets of the Wave Equation [PDF]
We study a class of localized solutions of the wave equation, called eigenwavelets, obtained by extending its fundamental solutions to complex spacetime in the sense of hyperfunctions. The imaginary spacetime variables y, which form a timelike vector, act as scale parameters generalizing the scale variable of wavelets in one dimension.

Bézier Solutions of the Wave Equation [PDF]
We study polynomial solutions in the Bezier form of the wave equation in dimensions one and two. We explicitly determine which control points of the B´ezier solution at two different times fix the solution.

Epilepsy‐Associated Variants of a Single SCN1A Codon Exhibit Divergent Functional Properties
ABSTRACT Objective Pathogenic variants in SCN1A, which encodes the voltage‐gated sodium channel NaV1.1, are associated with multiple epilepsy syndromes exhibiting a range of clinical severity. SCN1A variants are reported in different syndromes, including Dravet syndrome, which is associated with loss‐of‐function, whereas neonatal/infantile‐onset ...

Spiral Waves in Nonlocal Equations [PDF]
Summary: We present a numerical study of rotating spiral waves in a partial integro-differential equation defined on a circular domain. This type of equation has been previously studied as a model for large-scale pattern formation in the cortex and involves spatially nonlocal interactions through a convolution.

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

The Fourier Transform and the Wave Equation [PDF]
We solve the Cauchy problem for the $n$-dimensional wave equation using elementary properties of the Fourier transform.

ABSTRACT Objective Variants in SLC6A1, encoding the GABA transporter 1 (GAT‐1), cause epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delay via loss of GABA uptake, impaired trafficking, and ER retention. We previously found that 4‐Phenylbutyrate (PBA), an FDA‐approved drug, restores GABA uptake and reduces seizures in SLC6A1‐related disorders ...

Further investigations to extract abundant new exact traveling wave solutions of some NLEEs
In this study, we implement the generalized (G′/G)-expansion method established by Wang et al. to examine wave solutions to some nonlinear evolution equations. The method, known as the double (G′/G, 1/G)-expansion method is used to establish abundant new
