Holographic tunneling wave function [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2015
The Hartle-Hawking wave function in cosmology can be viewed as a decaying wave function with anti-de Sitter (AdS) boundary conditions. We show that the growing wave function in AdS familiar from Euclidean AdS/CFT is equivalent, semiclassically and up to surface terms, to the tunneling wave function in cosmology.

Determination of a Wave Function Functional [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2004
In this paper we propose the idea of expanding the space of variations in standard variational calculations for the energy by considering the wave function $ $ to be a functional of a set of functions $ : = [ ]$, rather than a function. In this manner a greater flexibility to the structure of the wave function is achieved.

Calculation of the relative permittivity of Rhodamine 6G using the quantum mechanical method

open access: yesБіофізичний вісник, 2023
Background: The article describes a method for calculating the permittivity of organic molecules in quantum mechanics using the well-studied Rhodamine 6G molecule as an example. The study of optical properties of large organic molecules requires not only

The wave function discord [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Linde's proposal of a Euclidean path integral with the ``wrong'' sign of Euclidean action is often identified with the tunneling proposal for the wave function of the universe. However, the two proposals are in fact quite different.

ACCOUNTING OF TUNNELING EFFECTS WHEN CALCULATING THE ENERGY SPECTRUM OF THE SCHRÖDINGER EQUATION

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов, 2019
The general scheme of the method for integrating second-order differential equations in the form of power series is presented. The obtained results for the Schrödinger equation with potentials with two and three minima for quantum anharmonic oscillators ...

THE COMPUTER – ASSISTED SOLUTION OF THE ONE – DIMENSIONAL SCHRÖDINGER EQUATION TAKING INTO ACCOUNT TUNNELING EFFECTS

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов, 2019
The general scheme of the method of integration of the second order ordinary differential equations with regular singular points is outlined. The algorithm of finding a general solution of the second order differential equation with regular singular ...

Realism and the wave-function [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Realism -- the idea that the concepts in physical theories refer to 'things' existing in the real world -- is introduced as a tool to analyze the status of the wave-function.

Clarifying Nonstatic-Quantum-Wave Behavior Through Extending Its Analysis to the p-Quadrature Space: Interrelation Between the q- and p-Space Wave-Nonstaticities

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2022
If electromagnetic parameters of a medium vary in time, quantum light waves traveling in it become nonstatic. A recent report shows that such nonstatic waves can also appear even when the environment is static where the parameters of the medium do not ...

Slippery Wave Functions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Physics, 2013
This article treats a history of a major accomplishment in Twentieth Century physics-superfluidity and superconductivity. Among others, emphasis is put especially on the works by the two Nobel physics prize laureates, Lev Landau and John Bardeen. On the one hand, the article treats the great achievements by both physicists from the viewpoint of a ...
