Multidimensional lame wave functions
Mathematical Notes of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, 1989The n-dimensional Helmholtz equation may be separated in ellipsoidal co- ordinates. In this way we find for \(n=2\) the Mathieu function, for \(n=3\) the Lamé function, for \(n=4\) the so called multi-dimensional Lamé function, being considered here.

Analytic Atomic Wave Functions
Physical Review, 1932A method is suggested for setting up analytic atomic wave functions which form good approximations to Hartree's functions. These functions are of the form $\ensuremath{\Sigma}c{r}^{n}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}ar}$, where the exponent $a$ as well as $c$ and $n$ vary from one term to another.
