A low sampling rate method for the monopole UWB impulse parameter monitoring using waveform transformation

Measurement Science and Technology, 2023
Abstract In ultra-wideband (UWB) impulse parameter monitoring, amplitude and pulse width measurements are crucial for detecting and classifying unknown impulse signals. Meanwhile, mass sampling data and the complexity of the current measurement technologies are the limitations of real-time and continuous monitoring.

A method of estimating speech synthesizer parameters by temporal analysis of waveforms

International Journal of Man-Machine Studies, 1971
A speech analysis system based on temporal measurements of the waveform has been developed. The output of this system is a set of signals suitable for controlling a formant synthesizer. The analyser has been evaluated by coupling it to a synthesizer, and determining the intelligibility of spoken words after analysis and resynthesis.

Study on Waveform Inversion Method for Elastic Parameters of Stratified Medium and Its Applications

Tunneling and Underground Construction, 2014
The waveform inversion method was used to reveal the physical and mechanical properties of underground medium, which comprehensively utilized the amplitude, travel time and phase of wave field. A typical stratified medium model in geotechnical engineering investigation was established for grasping the intermediate medium properties.

Land cover classification method considering the contribution of waveform characteristic parameters and the pooling scale

Journal of Applied Remote Sensing, 2019
In view of current land cover classification methods using the full-waveform characteristic parameters from spaceborne lasers, land cover categories are misclassified because the extracted features cannot accurately distinguish various types of features.

Method and apparatus for determining acoustic wave parameters from acoustic well logging waveforms

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1986
Methods and apparatus are described for estimating parameters, such as slowness and attenuation, of composite acoustic waves obtained in the course of sonic logging of formations traversed by a borehole. Sonic energy is sensed arriving at a plurality of points spaced vertically along the borehole after refraction, reflection and direct transmission ...

[A method for measuring waveform parameters of electrocardiogram based on heartbeats extraction].

Sheng wu yi xue gong cheng xue za zhi = Journal of biomedical engineering = Shengwu yixue gongchengxue zazhi, 2012
Usually all heartbeats contribute to the calculation of electrocardiogram (ECG) waveform parameters, such as amplitude and interval, in which those low signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) heartbeats actually produce a negative effect. In this paper is presented an approach for measuring ECG waveform parameters using template-based methods.

MULTI‐PARAMETER FULL WAVEFORM INVERSION FOR ACOUSTIC VTI MEDIA USING THE TRUNCATED NEWTON METHOD

Chinese Journal of Geophysics, 2015
AbstractIn multi‐parameter full waveform inversion (FWI), the trade‐off between different parameter classes increases its nonlinearity severely. The magnitude orders of seismic velocities and anisotropic parameters are significantly different, which makes the inverse problem poorly conditioned.

Study on waveform parameters of impulse test voltage and on-site docking method for EHV/UHV GIS

IEEE Electrical Insulation Magazine, 2019
GIS (gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear) is one of the important components in modern electrical power systems. Compared with traditional open switching devices, GIS has many advantages such as compact structure, smaller occupied area, little influence from environment as well as safe and reliable operation [1–3].

A nonlinear dynamic model and parameters identification method for predicting the shock pulse of rubber waveform generator

International Journal of Impact Engineering, 2018
Abstract This paper proposed a highly accurate nonlinear dynamic model and parameters identification method to predict the shock pulses generated by rubber waveform generator (RWG) used in shock test. The establishment of the model is based on the primary results of the Duffing equation, Pan-Yang model and empirical stiffness formulae of cylindrical ...
