Three‐dimensional Antimony Sulfide Based Flat Optics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents the development of a grayscale electron beam lithography (g‐EBL) method for fabricating antimony trisulfide (Sb2S3) nanostructures with customizable 3D profiles. The refractive index of g‐EBL patterned Sb2S3 is determined based on the synergy of genetic algorithm and transfer matrix method.

Joint Control of Radiated and Surface Waves via Space‐Time Coding Metasurfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A unified space‐time coding metasurface platform enables simultaneous control of radiated and surface‐confined waves across multiple harmonics. Demonstrated functionalities include multi‐frequency beam shaping; surface‐wave excitation, and hybrid multiplexing.

Single-atom trapping in holographic 2D arrays of microtraps with arbitrary geometries

open access: yes, 2014
We demonstrate single-atom trapping in two-dimensional arrays of microtraps with arbitrary geometries. We generate the arrays using a Spatial Light Modulator (SLM), with which we imprint an appropriate phase pattern on an optical dipole trap beam prior ...

Bessel-like optical beams with arbitrary trajectories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A method is proposed for generating Bessel-like optical beams with arbitrary trajectories in free space. The method involves phase-modulating an optical wavefront so that conical bundles of rays are formed whose apexes write a continuous focal curve with

Holographic Whole‐Object Photopolymerization Preserving Director Alignment in Liquid Crystalline Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Holographic microlithography enables the fabrication of fully connected 3D liquid crystalline structures in a single exposure. The process maintains precise control over the director orientation within the entire object, preventing local director distortions typically observed in sequential printing.
