3D Dielectric Chiral Metamaterials Achieving Nondispersive Near‐Zero Ellipticity
Broadband and high‐transmission‐efficiency optical activity (OA) is a critical functionality for numerous applications but is challenging to achieve. By engineering circularly polarized (CP) eigenstates in three‐dimensional (3D) dielectric helices, a 3D‐printed ceramic metamaterial is demonstrated for broadband OA with nondispersive near‐zero ...

Wavefront Estimation From a Single Measurement: Uniqueness and Algorithms [PDF]
Wavefront estimation is an essential component of adaptive optics where the goal is to recover the underlying phase from its Fourier magnitude. While this may sound identical to classical phase retrieval, wavefront estimation faces more strict requirements regarding uniqueness as adaptive optics systems need a unique phase to compensate for the ...

Discrete Chiral Ballistic Polariton Laser
Planar microcavities in the strong light–matter coupling regime exhibit exciton‐polariton modes with a strong chiral response toward circularly polarized light. This feature is exploited alongside inherent spin‐orbit coupling of cavity light to generate giant discrete optical vortices in polygonal arrays of exciton‐polariton condensates.

Simulated radiation levels and patterns of MRI without a Faraday shielded room
Abstract Purpose We characterize electromagnetic (EM) radiation patterns and levels in conventional MRI systems as a function of field strength and load symmetry, providing a framework for mitigation strategies allowing operation without a shielded room. Methods We simulated the far‐field radiation pattern and fields at a 10 m radius (|E|10m and |B|10m)

Single-Shot Phase Diversity Wavefront Sensing in Deep Turbulence via Metasurface Optics [PDF]
Free-space optical communication (FSOC) systems offer high-bandwidth and secure communication with minimal capital costs. Adaptive optics (AO) are typically added to these systems to decrease atmospheric channel losses; however, the performance of traditional AO wavefront sensors degrades in long-range, deep turbulence conditions. Alternative wavefront
