Control of Light Diffusion in a Disordered Photonic Waveguide [PDF]
We control the diffusion of light in a disordered photonic waveguide by modulating the waveguide geometry. In a single waveguide of varying cross-section, the diffusion coefficient changes spatially in two dimensions due to localization effects.

Hybrid Nanowire–Rectangular Plasmonic Waveguide for Subwavelength Confinement at 1550 Nm
This paper presents a hybrid waveguide based on metal surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) at 1550 nm comprising two silver (Ag) nanowires and a rectangular silicon (Si) waveguide. Due to the strong coupling effect observed in both the metal SPP mode and Si

Silicon micromachined waveguides for millimeter-wave and submillimeter-wave frequencies [PDF]
The development of micromachining techniques to create silicon-based waveguide circuits, which can operate up to high submillimeter-wave frequencies, is reported. As a first step, a WR-10 waveguide has been fabricated from (110) silicon wafers. Insertion
