A 3-D-Printed W-Band Slotted Waveguide Array Antenna Optimized Using Machine Learning
A three-dimensional (3-D) printed W-band slotted waveguide array antenna (SWAA) is proposed. The proposed SWAA consists of three different sections (two horizontal ones and a vertical one) such as a radiating waveguide array with 10 × 10 slots array with

Hybrid graphene plasmonic waveguide modulators [PDF]
The unique optical and electronic properties of graphene make possible the fabrication of novel optoelectronic devices. One of the most exciting graphene characteristics is the tunability by gating which allows one to realize active optical devices ...

Quantum waveguides with corners [PDF]
The simplest modeling of planar quantum waveguides is the Dirichlet eigenproblem for the Laplace operator in unbounded open sets which are uniformly thin in one direction. Here we consider V-shaped guides. Their spectral properties depend essentially on a sole parameter, the opening of the V.

Stability of the magnetic Schrödinger operator in a waveguide [PDF]
The spectrum of the Schr\"odinger operator in a quantum waveguide is known to be unstable in two and three dimensions. Any enlargement of the waveguide produces eigenvalues beneath the continuous spectrum. Also if the waveguide is bent eigenvalues will arise below the continuous spectrum. In this paper a magnetic field is added into the system.

Chirality of nanophotonic waveguide with embedded quantum emitter for unidirectional spin transfer [PDF]
Scalable quantum technologies may be achieved by faithful conversion between matter qubits and photonic qubits in integrated circuit geometries. Within this context, quantum dots possess well-defined spin states (matter qubits), which couple efficiently ...

We investigate the propagation of electromagnetic waves in a cylindrical waveguide with an arbitrary cross section filled with a nonlinear material. The electromagnetic field is expanded in the usual eigenmodes of the waveguide, and the coupling between the modes is quantified.

Conditions for waveguide decoupling in square-lattice photonic crystals [PDF]
We study coupling and decoupling of parallel waveguides in two-dimensional square-lattice photonic crystals. We show that the waveguide coupling is prohibited at some wavelengths when there is an odd number of rows between the waveguides. In contrast, decoupling does not take place when there is even number of rows between the waveguides.

Near-unity coupling efficiency of a quantum emitter to a photonic crystal waveguide. [PDF]
A quantum emitter efficiently coupled to a nanophotonic waveguide constitutes a promising system for the realization of single-photon transistors, quantum-logic gates based on giant single-photon nonlinearities, and high bit-rate deterministic single ...

FGF14 GAA Intronic Expansion in Unsolved Adult‐Onset Ataxia in the Care4Rare Canada Consortium
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Spinocerebellar ataxias (SCA) represent a clinically and genetically heterogeneous group of progressive neurodegenerative diseases with prominent cerebellar atrophy. Recently, a novel pathogenic repeat expansion in intron 1 of FGF14 was identified, causing adult‐onset SCA (SCA27B). We aimed to determine the proportion
