Wavelength Division Multiplexers and the Measurement of the Channel Wavelengths
1995In the first part in the paper, we review different WDM integrated optics devices: in lithium niobate, on glass, on silicon or InP subtrates. It is shown that the main problem to be solved, in most of the cases, is the wavelength and transmission sensitivity to polarisation.

The electromagnetic radiation spectrum has long been subdivided into a series of bands (such as infrared or ultraviolet) because these have a useful descriptive value regarding the physical attributes of a particular range of wavelengths or frequencies.

Laser with Wavelength 589nm - Sodium Wavelength Laser
2000Abstract : This report results from a contract tasking General Physics Institute as follows: The contractor will develop a laser system based on F2 color centers in LiF crystals with frequency doubling to produce from 10 to 40W of average output power at 589 nm.

Two years ago we set out to design and build a wavelength meter [1] that would complement our tunable source research. [2] The design goals were a device that measured wavelengths for both pulsed and cw lasers, displayed single pulse laser bandwidths, used inexpensive broadband optics and could be interfaced with a minicomputer.
