Elucidating Sodium Ion Storage Mechanisms in Hard Carbon Anodes at the Electronic Level

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐resolution, multi‐frequency continuous wave, and pulsed Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy uncover the intricate Na ion storage mechanisms in hard carbon. This study reveals the coexistence of Na ion intercalation and solvent co‐intercalation, alongside a subsequent transition of Na ions from ionic to quasi‐metallic to metallic ...

Biointerfacing with AgBiS2 Quantum Dots for Pseudocapacitive Photostimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
It is demonstrated that AgBiS2 quantum dots exhibit unique photoinduced pseudocapacitive charge transfer properties, enabling efficient light‐to‐electrical energy conversion. These quantum dots facilitate enhanced light absorption and transduction when integrated with ZnO nanowires, which serve as an effective charge transport medium.

Narrowband Detection via Charge Collection Narrowing Organic Photodetector Enabled by Low Bandgap Random Terpolymer for Biometric Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel low‐bandgap random terpolymer is designed for narrow band detection in charge collection narrowing (CCN) based organic photodetectors. With a relative thin active layer (<1 µm), the CCN‐based devices achieved a narrowband response of 68 nm full‐width‐at‐half‐maximum at 916 nm, together with Responsivity values of 0.13 A W−1 and dark current of ...

Learning Sparse Wavelet Representations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
In this work we propose a method for learning wavelet filters directly from data. We accomplish this by framing the discrete wavelet transform as a modified convolutional neural network. We introduce an autoencoder wavelet transform network that is trained using gradient descent.

Scaling‐Up of Structural Superlubricity: Challenges and Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
At increasing length‐scales, structural superlubricity (SSL) faces challenges from physical and chemical energy dissipation pathways. This study reviews recent experimental and theoretical progress on these challenges facing the scaling‐up of SSL, as well as perspectives on future directions for realizing and manipulating macroscale superlubricity ...

Electric Equipment Diagnosis based on Wavelet Analysis

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
Due to electric equipment development and complication it is necessary to have a precise and intense diagnosis. Nowadays there are two basic ways of diagnosis: analog signal processing and digital signal processing. The latter is more preferable.
