Implementation of spectral partition in wave models(波浪数学模型中谱分割功能的应用)

Extreme wave event in Ilha Grande Bay: a case study
This study aims to understand the propagation of wind-generated waves, through numerical modeling, in Ilha Grande Bay, using two different scenarios: a typical and a storm wave situation.

Unraveling the Source Locations of Short‐Period Secondary Microseisms
Abstract Primary and secondary microseisms are generated by ocean wave interactions, with the latter occasionally split into short‐ and long‐period bands in some regions. The short‐period secondary microseism (SPSM) sources have traditionally been associated with nearby coastal segments, suggesting a more uniform distribution across shorelines.

Deployment Strategy Shapes the Polar Climate Response to Marine Cloud Brightening
Abstract Marine cloud brightening (MCB) is a proposed solar climate intervention strategy that increases marine cloud reflectivity to cool Earth's surface. While previous studies have largely examined its global temperature and precipitation effects, little is known about how MCB deployment strategies influence polar climate and sea ice.

Abstract Swell propagation and transformation across variable bathymetry and coastal obstacles fundamentally control nearshore wave energy redistribution, sediment transport, and shoreline evolution. Conventional satellite altimetry cannot adequately resolve these dynamics, particularly refraction and diffraction as swell transition into shallow waters.

The influence of ex‐tropical cyclones on marine terrace retreat
Ex‐tropical cyclones can damage the integrity of marine terrace structures and contribute to erosion, but they are sometimes too infrequent to explain the longer term erosion rates of coastlines. Abstract High magnitude events, like Ex‐Tropical Cyclones, are likely to change in their trajectory, magnitude, and frequency under future climate change ...

Evaluating the gravity wave energy potential off the Brazilian coast
The wave energy potential on the Brazilian coast is estimated using in-situ buoy data and model data. The results present a greater potential on the southern-southeastern coast than on the northeastern coast, but the variance is also larger.

Abstract Wave-breaking dissipation is one of the least understood processes implemented in contemporary wave models. Significant effort has been put in its parameterization, but it has not proven to be totally satisfactory, either theoretically or practically.
