Hedging crude oil imports in developing countries [PDF]

open access: yes
The objective of this paper is to explore the application of risk management techniques to a typical developing country state-owned oil company (SOC) involved in importing and refining crude oil and to make estimates of the potential gains from using ...

Evaluation of Performance of a Polymer‐Based Fixative (FIXSCENT) on the Controlled Release Kinetics and Longevity of Top and Heart Notes of Alcoholic Perfume

open access: yesFlavour and Fragrance Journal, EarlyView.
Effects of varying concentrations of a polymer‐based fixative (FIXSCENT) were studied on perfume samples and the results indicated a sustained release pattern and a significant delay in the release of both top and heart notes upon addition of 5% FIXSCENT.

Comparative study of prediction methods of gel point of mixed crude oil

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
Gel point is an important parameter of the safe pipeline transportation of the waxy crude oil, and predicting the gel point of the mixed crude oil quickly and precisely has a certain practical significance for this kind of mixed transportation.

Non-Linear Unit Root Properties of Crude Oil Production [PDF]

open access: yes
While there is good reason to expect crude oil production to be non-linear, previous studies that have examined the stochastic properties of crude oil production have assumed that crude oil production follows a linear process.

Pumpkin and chia seeds as functional foods and their application in different food products: A review

open access: yesFood Biomacromolecules, EarlyView.
Abstract Functional foods have gained increasing attention for their capacity to promote health and reduce chronic‐disease risk beyond basic nutrition. Among plant‐based functional ingredients, pumpkin (Cucurbita spp.) and chia (Salvia hispanica L.) seeds are nutrient‐dense sources of proteins, unsaturated fatty acids, dietary fiber, tocopherols ...

A critical review on the viscosity reduction mechanisms of magnetically-treated waxy crude oil

open access: yesYou-qi chuyun
ObjectiveAt ambient temperatures, waxy crude oil experiences a significant decline in fluidity due to the precipitation of wax crystals that form a three-dimensional network structure, posing major flow assurance challenges for oil production and ...

Threshold Cointegration in BRENT crude futures market [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper, using a threshold vector error-correction (TVECM) model, examines whether BRENT crude spot and futures oil prices are cointegrated. By employing this methodology we are able to evaluate the degree and dynamics of transaction costs resulting ...

THERMAL SHRINKAGE AND YIELD STRENGTH OF GELLED WAXY CRUDE OIL [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The concern for flow assurance of reservoir fluids to the surface and subsequently delivering it to the appropriate markets becomes very critical to justify project economics and to meet the ever growing demand for petroleum products. Due to emergency

Safety and Metabolic Effects of Withania somnifera Seed Extract and Powder in Rats: Insights From DPP‐4 Molecular Docking

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
Withania somnifera seed extract and powder improved metabolic parameters in rats, particularly at higher extract doses, without evident hepatic, renal, hematological, or histopathological toxicity. Molecular docking further predicted strong DPP‐4 inhibitory potential of withanone, supporting the antidiabetic potential of W. somnifera seeds.
