Addressing for 6LoWPAN WBAN

Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine, 2016
In 6LoWPAN, a node is configured with a home address (HoA) when it starts. Each time a node enters a new IP domain it is configured with a care-of address (CoA) to guarantee correct communications. That is, a node performs only one HoA configuration process but multiple CoA ones during its lifetime.

WBAN MASS: A WBAN-based monitoring application system

IET Conference Publications, 2009
This paper describes a WBAN-based prototype system for continuous ambulatory monitoring of human body physical activities via Internet. The system comprises a number of custom-made low-cost ZigBee-powered wireless sensor nodes forming the WBAN, a personal server based on a wearable single-board minicomputer running embedded Linux OS, and a remote ...

UWB-WBAN sensor node design

2011 Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2011
In this paper, we discuss the hardware development of a UWB sensor node for wireless body area networks. A few unique UWB pulse generation techniques have been discussed. The sensor node transmits multiple pulses per bit to increase the average power of the transmitted signal in order to improve the bit-error rate (BER) performance.

I-WBAN: Enabling Information-centric data retrieval in heterogeneous WBAN

2015 IEEE Conference on Computer Communications Workshops (INFOCOM WKSHPS), 2015
Reliable data retrieval in Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN) is critical in the patient monitoring and other medical services. The limitation of energy supply and the mobility of body sensors exacerbate the difficulties of efficient data transmission.
