Effect of U-FAST Technology on Basic Properties of WC-Co Composites Designed for Particleboard Milling Tools [PDF]
Cemented carbides WC-Co are one of the basic tool materials. They constitute over half of the currently used tools intendedfor machining. The main advantages of WC-Co cemented carbides are their high hardness and abrasion resistance.

Abstract The high temperature oxidation behavior of WC-Co samples has been investigated. The oxidation rate of WC-Co was found to increase rapidly with temperature above 600 °C and with the oxygen content of the atmosphere. Increasing the Co content led to an improvement in the oxidation behavior.

The pyrene and ether groups are incorporated into the covalent triazine polymer (CTP) structure. The synergistic effect of the two functional groups endows CTP with better electron transfer, light absorption, and oxygen activation properties. An impressive apparent quantum yield (13.2% @420 nm) and a remarkable solar‐to‐chemical conversion efficiency ...

Dry sliding friction and wear response of WC-Co hardmetal pairs in linearly reciprocating and rotating contact [PDF]
This paper presents an experimental evaluation of friction and wear properties of WC-Co cemented carbides. A comparison is made between unlubricated rotating and linearly reciprocating pin-onplate sliding pairs. The plate specimens were WC-10wt%Co grades

The Applicability of Taylor’s Model to the Drilling of CFRP Using Uncoated WC-Co Tools: The Influence of Cutting Speed on Tool Wear [PDF]
This work investigates the applicability of Taylor’s model on the drilling of CFRP using uncoated WC-Co tools, by assessing the influence of cutting speed (Vc) on tool wear. Two different resins, possessing low and high glass transition temperatures (Tg),

The disordered growth of dendrites, corrosion, parasitic side reactions, slow de‐solvation kinetics, and inherent safety risks significantly hinder the practical deployment of conventional liquid electrolyte zinc‐ion batteries. In contrast, the novel PU‐EG+DMPA‐Zn polyurethane quasi‐solid‐state electrolyte, enriched with abundant polar functional ...

The role of the binder phase in the WC-Co sintering
The sintering of hardmetal in the solid state is studied. The influence of the WC particle size on the sintering kinetics, the role of the binder phase in the densification process and how sintering depends on the heating conditions are investigated.

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.
