Substructure and halo density profiles in a Warm Dark Matter Cosmology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We performed a series of high-resolution simulations designed to study the substructure of Milky Way-size galactic halos (host halos) and the density profiles of halos in a warm dark matter (WDM) scenario with a non-vanishing cosmological constant.

The High-$z$ Universe Confronts Warm Dark Matter: Galaxy Counts, Reionization and the Nature of Dark Matter

open access: yes, 2014
We use $N$-body simulations to show that high-redshift galaxy counts provide an interesting constraint on the nature of dark matter, specifically Warm Dark Matter (WDM), owing to the lack of early structure formation these models. Our simulations include

The edge of galaxy formation III: The effects of warm dark matter on Milky Way satellites and field dwarfs

open access: yes, 2019
In this third paper of the series, we investigate the effects of warm dark matter with a particle mass of $m_\mathrm{WDM}=3\,\mathrm{keV}$ on the smallest galaxies in our Universe.

Lyman-alpha constraints on warm and on warm-plus-cold dark matter models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We revisit Lyman-alpha bounds on the dark matter mass in Lambda Warm Dark Matter (Lambda-WDM) models, and derive new bounds in the case of mixed Cold plus Warm models (Lambda-CWDM), using a set up which is a good approximation for several theoretically ...

Spatial‐Wavelength Multiplexing Error‐Controlled Photonic Analog Computing System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel photonic integrated circuit prototype implementing the concept of general‐purpose analog computing and demonstrate its capability in radio frequency applications. The chip features a multichannel architecture and performs fully optical analog computation with frequency‐domain parallel processing. An FPGA‐based error‐correction algorithm aims to

Forecasts for Warm Dark Matter from Photometric Galaxy Surveys

open access: yes, 2018
We present a Fisher matrix forecast for the sensitivity on the mass of a thermal warm dark matter (WDM) particle from current (DES-like) and future (LSST-like) photometric galaxy surveys using the galaxy angular power spectrum.

Lyman-alpha Forest Constraints on the Mass of Warm Dark Matter and the Shape of the Linear Power Spectrum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
High resolution N-body simulations of cold dark matter (CDM) models predict that galaxies and clusters have cuspy halos with excessive substructure. Observations reveal smooth halos with central density cores.

Free Space Optical Communication in Long-Reach Unidirectional Ring-Architecture Fiber Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In the work, a ring-constructed wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) access system for delivering multiple free space optical (FSO) wireless signals is investigated.

Study of Free‐Space Optical Quantum Network: Review and Prospectives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Free from the constraints of fiber connections, free‐space quantum network enables longer and more flexible quantum network connections. This review summarizes and comparatively analyzes free‐space quantum network experiments based on ground stations, satellites, and mobile platforms.

AI‐Assisted Self‐Powered Wearable Dual‐Mode Sensor With TENG and Stretchable Optical Fiber for Neurological Disorder Diagnostics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This manuscript presents the WDMS platform, an AI‐assisted, self‐powered wearable dual‐mode sensor for tele‐neurology. It integrates a contact–separation TENG insole with stretchable polyurethane optical‐fiber strain sensors to synchronously track plantar pressure and lower‐limb muscle deformation.
