Characteristics of supercontinuum generation under the influence of a weak continuous-wave trigger
IEEE Photonic Society 24th Annual Meeting, 2011We numerically study the impacts of introducing a minute continuous-wave trigger on the properties of picosecond supercontinuum generation; namely the bandwidth, temporal coherence and pulse-to-pulse stability.

Weak links array generated by a continuous wave laser in a superconducting sample
Optik, 2018Abstract Vortex state and magnetic response in a disk with an array of weakly-superconducting (or normal regions) created in the sample increasing the temperature T locally by using a continuous wave laser (CWL) that emits a beam with a controlled heat output, beam duration and intensity are studied.

We propose a new tool for analyzing data from anomalous diffusion processes: The distribution of generalized diffusivities pα(D,τ) describes the fluctuations during the diffusion process around the generalized diffusion coefficient obtained from the mean squared displacement and its τ-dependence captures the non-trivial part of the process dynamics. We

Derivation of general algebraic constraint conditions for ‘weak’ C1 continuity for thin shells
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 1977AbstractEmploying C0 conforming thin shell elements, a derivation of general algebraic equations for enforcing C1 interelement continuity in a ‘weak’ (that is, integral) sense is presented. ‘Restoration’ of strict C1 continuity is treated as a special case of the proposed concept. The cónstraint equations do not depend on the metric of the given shell.

A new means of generating all-optically high-repetition-rate pulse trains is proposed and numerically demonstrated in an optical fiber. Our numerical simulations show that, due to the modulation instability effect, the initial continuous-wave with a weak optical pulse instead of conventional weak sinusoidal modulation imposed on it can gradually evolve
