Spinal Cord Infarction Versus Idiopathic Transverse Myelitis: Clinical, Radiological, and Functional Insights From a Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Spinal cord infarction (SCI) is a rare but devastating myelopathy, characterized by a high disability rate and an unfavorable prognosis. It has often been underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed as idiopathic transverse myelitis (ITM). This study aimed to describe the clinical features, radiological biomarkers, treatments, and functional ...

Global attractors for gradient flows in metric spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We develop the long-time analysis for gradient flow equations in metric spaces. In particular, we consider two notions of solutions for metric gradient flows, namely energy and generalized solutions.

The Equivalence of Convergence Results between Mann and Multistep Iterations with Errors for Uniformly Continuous Generalized Weak Φ‐Pseudocontractive Mappings in Banach Spaces [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
We prove the equivalence of the convergence of the Mann and multistep iterations with errors for uniformly continuous generalized weak Φ‐pseduocontractive mappings in Banach spaces. We also obtain the convergence results of Mann and multistep iterations with errors. Our results extend and improve the corresponding results.

Clinical Spectrum and Outcomes of SOX1 Antibody‐Associated Paraneoplastic Neurological Syndromes: A Chinese Cohort Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background SOX1 antibody‐positive paraneoplastic neurological syndromes (PNS) exhibit significant population‐specific clinical heterogeneity. While Western cohorts predominantly manifest Lambert‐Eaton myasthenic syndrome (65%–80%), comprehensive clinical characterization and treatment response data in Asian populations remain critically ...

Prediction method of surface deformation around soft base dump based on viscoelastic theory

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
Addressing the challenge of surrounding surface deformation induced by soil discharge field pile loads in weak substrates, this study delves into the mechanisms and impacts of such deformations extensively, drawing from the theory of laminar elastic ...

Parsimonious Description of Generalized Gibbs Measures : Decimation of the 2d-Ising Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we detail and complete the existing characterizations of the decimation of the Ising model on $\Z^2$ in the generalized Gibbs context. We first recall a few features of the Dobrushin program of restoration of Gibbsianness and present the ...

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

Fixed point theorems for $ b $-generalized contractive mappings with weak continuity conditions

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
<p>The purpose of this paper was to introduce several $ b $-generalized contractive mappings in the framework of cone $ b $-metric spaces over Banach algebras. The obtained contractions generalized and extended the counterparts in metric spaces, cone metric spaces, and $ b $-metric spaces.

Diffusion Spectrum Imaging Maps Early Axonal Loss and a Unique Progressive Signal in Neuronal Intranuclear Inclusion Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To delineate specific in vivo white matter pathology in neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) using diffusion spectrum imaging (DSI) and define its clinical relevance. Methods DSI was performed on 42 NIID patients and 38 matched controls.

Fluid Biomarkers of Disease Burden and Cognitive Dysfunction in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Identifying objective biomarkers for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is crucial to improving diagnosis and establishing clinical trial and treatment endpoints. This study evaluated fluid biomarkers in PSP versus controls and their associations with regional 18F‐PI‐2620 tau‐PET, clinical, and cognitive outcomes.
