Weak spectral equivalence and weak spectral convergence [PDF]

open access: yesCzechoslovak Mathematical Journal, 1984
For the definitions of local spectrum, single valued extension property of an operator on a Banach space and related concepts see e.g., \textit{I. Colojoară} and \textit{C. Foiaş}, Theory of Generalized Spectral Operators (1968; Zbl 0189.442). In his paper, Rev. Roum. Math. Pur. Appl. 12, 733-736 (1967; Zbl 0156.382), \textit{F. H.

Unlocking Ultra‐Long Cycle Stability of Li Metal Electrode by Separators Modified by Porous Red Phosphorus Nanosheets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Coating the standard polypropylene separator with a porous red phosphorous nanosheet greatly improves cycling performance in Li electrode cells. The phosphorus‐based surface chemistry deactivates electrolyte solvent decomposition and enhances the cleavage of F‐containing salt, resulting in an inorganic‐dominated electrolyte interphase (SEI) composition

On weak convergence of iterates in quantum Lp-spaces (p≥1)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2005
Equivalent conditions are obtained for weak convergence of iterates of positive contractions in the L1-spaces for general von Neumann algebra and general JBW algebras, as well as for Segal-Dixmier Lp-spaces (1 ...

Experimental and Theoretical Confirmation of Covalent Bonding in α‐Pu

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
From a combination of Reverse Monte Carlo dynamic rigid body fitting to the pair distribution functional and novel density functional approaches, the existence of covalent bonding is confirmed in α‐plutonium alongside other bonding types (i.e. mixed bonding schemes).

Enhancing CoFe Catalysts with V2CTX MXene‐Derived Materials for Anion Exchange Membrane Electrolyzers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MXene dervied CoFe composites show increased initial Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) activity compared to the pure CoFe and MXene in an Anion Exchange Membrane device. Vanadium vacancies in the MXene plays a role in increased OER activity and hinders Fe leaching in the AEM device over using the pure V2C MXene as a support material for the CoFe ...

Weak convergence to the t-distribution [PDF]

open access: yes
We present a new limit theorem for random means: if the sample size is not deterministic but has a negative binomial or geometric distribution, the limit distribution of the normalised random mean is a t-distribution with degrees of freedom depending on ...

Sonication‐Assisted Palladium Nanogaps in a Capacitive Structure: A Tunable and Reliable Solution for Sensitive Hydrogen Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a capacitive hydrogen sensor with a simple structure and process. Sonication‐induced Pd nanogaps modulate the effective electrode area in response to hydrogen concentration, resulting in capacitance changes within a range predefined by physical parameters.

Weak convergence of the sequential empirical processes of residuals in ARMA models [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper studies the weak convergence of the sequential empirical process $\hat{K}_n$ of the estimated residuals in ARMA(p,q) models when the errors are independent and identically distributed.

Weak Convergence to Brownian Excursion

open access: yesThe Annals of Probability, 1983
We give a concise proof, using rescaling, random time change and simple infinitesimal generator computations of the fact that Brownian excursion is the weak limit as $\varepsilon \rightarrow 0$ of tied down Brownian motion conditioned never to fall below $-\varepsilon$.

On Weak Convergence of Filtrations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
A sequence of filtrations \(({\mathcal{F}^n_t})_{t{\leq}T}\) converges wealky to a filtration \(({\mathcal{F}}_t)_{t{\leq}T}\) iff, for all \(B{\in}{\mathcal{F}}_T\), the sequence of processes \((E[1_B\vert{\mathcal{F}}^n_t])_{t{\leq}T}\) converges in probability under the Skorokhod topology to the process \((E[1_B\vert{\mathcal{F}}_t])_{t{\leq}T ...
