Chaotic Transport in the Symmetry Crossover Regime with a Spin-orbit Interaction

open access: yes, 2010
We study a chaotic quantum transport in the presence of a weak spin-orbit interaction. Our theory covers the whole symmetry crossover regime between time-reversal invariant systems with and without a spin-orbit interaction.

Multi‐Responsive Dendrimer‐Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel With Lubricating and Immunoregulatory Functions for Synergistic Osteoarthritis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hydrogel with dynamic cross‐links was formed by cross‐linking hyaluronic acid with curcumin‐preloaded, phenylboronic acid‐modified poly(amidoamine) dendrimers. This hydrogel exhibited excellent injectability and self‐healing ability, enabling controlled Cur release in response to low pH, high reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, or mechanical ...

Healing of Defects in Random Antiferromagnetic Spin Chains

open access: yes, 2017
We study the effects of a weakened link in random antiferromagnetic spin chains. We show that healing occurs, and that homogeneity is restored at low energy, in a way that is qualitatively similar to the fate of impurities in clean ferromagnetic spin ...

Phase transition on superfluid vortices in Higgs-Confinement crossover

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We propose a novel method to distinguish states of matter by identifying spontaneous symmetry breaking on extended objects, such as vortices, even in the absence of a bulk phase transition.

Abrupt Spin Crossover Behavior in a Linear N1,N2-Triazole Bridged Trinuclear Fe(II) Complex

open access: yesMagnetochemistry, 2018
The synthesis, structures and magnetic properties of a new trinuclear spin crossover complex [FeII3(pyrtrz)6(TsO)6]·10H2O·2CH3OH (C2) and its analogue binuclear [FeII2(pyrtrz)5(SCN)4]·7H2O (C1), are reported here. These two compounds

Injectable Stimuli‐Responsive Amphiphilic Hydrogel for Rapid Hemostasis, Robust Tissue Adhesion, and Controlled Drug Delivery in Trauma and Surgical Care

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Fast‐acting hydrogel seals bleeding wounds as the illustrated injectable, pH‐responsive network rapidly gels in situ to stop hemorrhage, adhere strongly to wet tissue, and release antibiotics in a controlled, pH‐dependent manner. The material withstands high pressures, shows excellent biocompatibility, and degrades safely, offering a versatile platform

Indirect forces between impurities in one-dimensional quantum liquids

open access: yes, 2007
We investigate the indirect interaction between two isolated impurities in a Luttinger liquid described by a microscopic lattice model. To treat the electron-electron interaction U the functional renormalization group method is used.
