Weak gravitational lensing with CO galaxies [PDF]
Optical weak lensing surveys have become a powerful tool for precision cosmology, but remain subject to systematic effects that can severely bias cosmological parameter estimates if not carefully removed. We discuss the possibility of performing complementary weak lensing surveys at radio/microwave frequencies, using detections of CO-emitting galaxies ...

Radio weak gravitational lensing with VLA and MERLIN [PDF]
We carry out an exploratory weak gravitational lensing analysis on a combined VLA and MERLIN radio data set: a deep (3.3 micro-Jy beam^-1 rms noise) 1.4 GHz image of the Hubble Deep Field North. We measure the shear estimator distribution at this radio sensitivity for the first time, finding a similar distribution to that of optical shear estimators ...

Abstract This narrative review summarizes the collective knowledge on periodontal microbiology, through a historical timeline that highlights the European contribution in the global field. The etiological concepts on periodontal disease culminate to the ecological plaque hypothesis and its dysbiosis‐centered interpretation.

Exact gravitational lensing and rotation curve [PDF]
Based on the geodesic equation in a static spherically symmetric metric we discuss the rotation curve and gravitational lensing. The rotation curve determines one function in the metric without assuming Einstein's equations. Then lensing is considered in the weak field approximation of general relativity.

Weak gravitational lensing in fourth order gravity [PDF]
For a general class of analytic $f(R,R_{ }R^{ },R_{ }R^{ })$ we discuss the gravitational lensing in the Newtonian Limit of theory. From the properties of Gauss Bonnet invariant it is successful to consider only two curvature invariants between the Ricci and Riemann tensor.

The movement of pure water droplets on a superhydrophobic glass surface is precisely controlled through electrostatic manipulation using a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) rod from the opposite side. With just a few seconds of triboelectric charging, the PTFE rod directs droplets, achieving acceleration over 10 000 mm s−2.

A Methodological Framework to Study Change in Team Cognition Under the Dynamical Hypothesis
Abstract The dynamical hypothesis claims that cognitive systems, such as teams, are dynamical systems (i.e., an interdependent collection of individuals and their technology that change together over time). Following this hypothesis, team researchers have adopted dynamical approaches to better understand the team cognitive processes and states that ...

Mimicking Symmetry‐Breaking Einstein Ring by Optical Lens
This article uses an optical lens to emulate the gravitational lensing effect and observe the Einstein ring (ER) patterns. The symmetry‐breaking ER, i.e., Einstein cross, is observed utilizing a rotation‐symmetry‐breaking hemi‐ellipsoid lens. Deformed Einstein cross patterns induced by noncollinearly alignment of the light source–lens–observer are ...
