Averaged alternating reflections in geodesic spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We study the nonexpansivity of reflection mappings in geodesic spaces and apply our findings to the averaged alternating reflection algorithm employed in solving the convex feasibility problem for two sets in a nonlinear context.

WEAK CONVERGENCE THEOREMS FOR EQUILIBRIUM PROBLEMS AND NONEXPANSIVE MAPPINGS AND NONSPREADING MAPPINGS IN HILBERT SPACES [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications of the Korean Mathematical Society, 2012
In this paper, we introduce an iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mappings and nonspreading mappings and the set of solution of an equilibrium problem on the setting of real Hilbert spaces.

Weak solutions to Neumann discrete nonlinear system of Kirchhoff type

open access: yesCubo, 2019
We prove the existence of weak solutions for discrete nonlinear system of Kirchhoff type. We build some Hilbert spaces with suitable norms. We define the notion of weak solution corresponding to the problem (1.1). The proof of the main result is based on

On the Weak Lefschetz Property for Artinian Gorenstein algebras of codimension three [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We study the problem of whether an arbitrary codimension three graded artinian Gorenstein algebra has the Weak Lefschetz Property. We reduce this problem to checking whether it holds for all compressed Gorenstein algebras of odd socle degree.

Weak Convergence Theorems on the Split Common Fixed Point Problem for Demicontractive Continuous Mappings

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2018
We are concerned with the split common fixed point problem in Hilbert spaces. We propose a new method for solving this problem and establish a weak convergence theorem whenever the involved mappings are demicontractive and Lipschitz continuous.

Triplets of Closely Embedded Hilbert Spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We obtain a general concept of triplet of Hilbert spaces with closed (unbounded) embeddings instead of continuous (bounded) ones. The construction starts with a positive selfadjoint operator $H$, that is called the Hamiltonian of the system, which is ...

Weak convergence theorem for a class of split variational inequality problems and applications in a Hilbert space [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2017
In this paper, we consider the algorithm proposed in recent years by Censor, Gibali and Reich, which solves split variational inequality problem, and Korpelevich's extragradient method, which solves variational inequality problems. As our main result, we propose an iterative method for finding an element to solve a class of split variational inequality

Regularization Method for the Approximate Split Equality Problem in Infinite-Dimensional Hilbert Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We studied the approximate split equality problem (ASEP) in the framework of infinite-dimensional Hilbert spaces. Let , , and   be infinite-dimensional real Hilbert spaces, let and   be two nonempty closed convex sets, and let and   be two bounded ...

Weak Convergence Theorems for a System of Mixed Equilibrium Problems and Nonspreading Mappings in a Hilbert Space [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2010

Pointwise Convergence in Probability of General Smoothing Splines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Establishing the convergence of splines can be cast as a variational problem which is amenable to a $\Gamma$-convergence approach. We consider the case in which the regularization coefficient scales with the number of observations, $n$, as $\lambda_n=n^{-
