Enhanced weak localization effect in few-layer graphene

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2011
We have investigated the weak localization correction to magnetoresistance in one to six layer graphene structures. The magnetoresistance measurements have revealed that, in addition to the known transition from weak anti-localization in monolayer graphene to weak localization in bilayer graphene, the weak localization effect becomes more pronounced as

Realization of the “Weak Rod” by a Double Layer Parallel Network

Neural Computation, 1994
The weak rod can be realized by a very natural double layer network with feedback. While the second layer is linear, the first layer is significantly nonlinear. Elements associated with the first layer are called “synaptic fuses.” An MRF argument is used to eliminate the line variables. The network makes what is cut transparent when a crease or a step

The Strength of an Adhesive Weak Boundary Layer

The Journal of Adhesion, 1975
Abstract The strength of model adhesive joints composed of different thicknesses of low (10,300 narrow distribution) molecular weight polystyrene sandwiched between high molecular weight poly(methyl methacrylate) has been studied. The joints model a polymer-to-polymer adhesive bond across a low-strength boundary layer.

Weak Collisions in Strong Double Layers

1990
The theoretical basis of strong double layers with cold drifting particles is extended by including collisional friction of the primary electron beam. It is found that finite electric fields of different size exist in the regions adjacent to the double layer in accordance with stress balance.

Addressing the weak link between layer 2 and layer 3 in the Internet architecture

29th Annual IEEE International Conference on Local Computer Networks, 2004
With the rapid expansion and evolution of the Internet, the methodology of addressing in the data link layer and mapping between the network and data link layers has become inadequate to provide secure services in networks. In this paper, we examine the weak link between the network and data link layers in local area networks (LANs) with possible ...

Surface-Layer Characteristics in the Stable Boundary Layer with Strong and Weak Winds

Boundary-Layer Meteorology, 2003
An extensive meteorological dataset obtained from the plumevalidation experiment conducted by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) atKincaid during 1980–1981 is analysed for studying the characteristic differences in thesurface-layer parameters in strong and weak wind stable conditions.

Analysis of Slope Stability Containing Weak Layers

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
In order to search for the control factors of slope stability containing weak layers, combining with the methods of the finite element and the limit equilibrium to simulate the slope stability problems. From the numerical simulation results, the stress field distribution and displacement field distribution internal the slope could be got.

Weak Double Layers in a Current Carrying Plasma

Physica Scripta, 1986
The existence of weak electric double layers in a current carrying low density plasma is investigated theoretically for an electron distribution function that is of interest in triple plasma devices and Q-machines in double ended operation. In these devices the electron distribution function in the central plasma may be discontinuous since it is made ...
