Embedded Ferroelectric Nanoclusters Can Drive Polarization Reversal in a Non‐Ferroelectric Polar Film via the Proximity Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric nanoclusters create local internal fields in a normally non‐switchable polar film because of polarization mismatch at their interfaces. That field opposes polarization in the regions with larger polarization and reinforces polarization in the regions with smaller polarization.

Pattern‐Aware Intelligence Enables Nondestructive, Rapid Quantification of High‐Aspect‐Ratio Silicon Etching

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pattern‐dependent etching is converted into a physical prior for intelligent reconstruction of high‐aspect‐ratio silicon structures. Combining YOLO‐Pose feature extraction with a topography network, the framework retrieves depth, sidewall angle, and scallop texture from minimal destructive observations, enabling accurate cross‐scale metrology and near ...

The analytical solutions of squeezing flow and heat transfer in an horizontal filtering channel

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
Flow and heat transfer dynamics inside different industrial chambers play a vital role in understanding momentum and heat transfer during industrial operations. Analysis of such flow and heat transfer helps operators to know how the system works.

Diffusion Maps for Embedded Manifolds with Boundary with Applications to PDEs [PDF]

open access: yesApplied and Computational Harmonic Analysis, 2019
Given only a collection of points sampled from a Riemannian manifold embedded in a Euclidean space, in this paper we propose a new method to solve elliptic partial differential equations (PDEs) supplemented with boundary conditions.

Sobolev weak solutions for parabolic PDEs and FBSDEs

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2009
This Note is devoted to the representation of Sobolev weak solutions to quasi-linear parabolic PDEs with monotone coefficients via FBSDEs. One distinctive character of this result is that the forward component of the FBSDE is coupled with the backward variable.

Uncertainty quantification and weak approximation of an elliptic inverse problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We consider the inverse problem of determining the permeability from the pressure in a Darcy model of flow in a porous medium. Mathematically the problem is to find the diffusion coefficient for a linear uniformly elliptic partial differential equation ...

Multispectral UV Imaging on Capacitive CMOS Arrays Enabled by Solution‐Processed Metal‐Oxide Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ultraviolet (UV) imagers are important for a variety of applications but often require dedicated semiconductor process flows. Here, a versatile capacitive CMOS platform is transformed into a visible‐blind, multispectral UV imager through post‐CMOS functionalization with solution‐processed metal‐oxide nanoparticles. The UV‐induced photodielectric effect

Closing the Loop: High‐Precision 3D Photofabrication in Living Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Writing 3D microstructures inside living tissue demands more than laser access; It demands information. Hierarchical sensing captures thermal and mechanical states across pulse‐train, voxel, and structure timescales, feeding a controller that steers the laser in real time.

Weak Gauge PDEs [PDF]

open access: yes
Gauge PDEs generalise the AKSZ construction when dealing with generic local gauge theories. Despite being very flexible and invariant, these geometrical objects are usually infinite-dimensional and are difficult to define explicitly, just like standard ...
