Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Thermodynamic Limits to Molecular Doping in Conjugated Polymers: A Perspective on Phase Behavior and Miscibility

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular doping of conjugated polymers is fundamentally constrained by thermodynamic phase behavior. This Perspective reframes doping efficiency and stability in terms of miscibility limits, binodals, and solvus boundaries, highlighting the role of effective interaction parameters and charge transfer.

Optimal Control Drives Ultrafast and Energy‐Efficient Magnetization Switching in Van der Waals Magnets

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The accelerating expansion of data‐centric technologies is sharply increasing the energy burden of information storage, placing unprecedented pressure on the efficiency of magnetic switching. Conventional field‐driven reversal, once the foundation of magnetic memory, has become impractical in modern architectures due to its high energy cost ...

Infrared Ship Segmentation Based on Weakly-Supervised and Semi-Supervised Learning

open access: yesIEEE Access
Existing fully-supervised semantic segmentation methods have achieved good performance. However, they all rely on high-quality pixel-level labels. To minimize the annotation costs, weakly-supervised methods or semi-supervised methods are proposed.

Combination of 3D and 2D Small and Wide Angle X‐Ray Scattering Imaging Reveals Diminished Bone Quality in the Superior Human Femoral Neck Cortex

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Combined 2D and 3D X‐ray scattering imaging is used to analyse nanostructural properties in the inferior and superior cortex of 78 human femoral necks from 44 donors. The methodology allows for increased interpretation of nanostructure in a statistically relevant dataset, revealing nanostructural differences in anatomical locations critical to clinical

Weakly supervised instance action recognition

open access: yesComputational Visual Media
We study the novel problem of weakly supervised instance action recognition (WSiAR) in multi-person (crowd) scenes. We specifically aim to recognize the action of each subject in the crowd, for which we propose the use of a weakly supervised method ...

Mechanism‐Driven Nanoformulations for Cognitive Impairment Induced by Intermittent Hypoxia and Periodontitis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Clinically, intermittent hypoxia (IH) is often accompanied by periodontitis, which accelerates cognitive impairment induced by IH. Novel Janus mesoporous gold‐silica nanoformulations (RVG‐Au&mSiO2‐TPP‐VB) enable intranasal delivery, achieve hierarchical targeting to neuronal mitochondria, effectively scavenge reactive oxygen species, inhibit the HIF‐1α/

Semi-supervised Learning Algorithm Based on Maximum Margin and Manifold Hypothesis [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji kexue
Semi-supervised learning is a weakly supervised learning pattern between supervised learning and unsupervised lear-ning.It combines a small number of labeled instances with a large number of unlabeled instances to build a model during the process of ...

Electrical Resistivity Change Upon Crystallization as a Robust Descriptor for Metallic Glass Forming Ability

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Electrical resistivity change upon annealing is introduced as a rapid descriptor for identifying high glass‐forming ability in metallic glasses. High‐throughput combinatorial thin‐film libraries reveal that compositions exhibiting small resistivity changes correspond to sluggish crystallization behavior and known bulk metallic glass regions, enabling ...

Learning With Partial-Label and Unlabeled Data: Contrastive With Negative Example Separation

open access: yesIEEE Access
Semi-Supervised Partial Label Learning (SSPLL) is an important branch of weakly supervised learning, where the data consists of both partial label examples and unlabeled ones.
