Let $A$ be a dual Banach algebra with predual $A_\ast$ and consider the following assertions: (A) $A$ is Connes-amenable; (B) $A$ has a normal, virtual diagonal; (C) $A_\ast$ is an injective $A$-bimodule.

Quadratic Hedging of American Options Under GARCH Models
ABSTRACT American options are widely traded in financial markets, yet there is a scarcity of literature on hedging in incomplete markets. In this paper, we derive optimal hedging ratios and option values using Local Risk Minimization (LRM) and Global Risk Minimization (GRM) hedging strategies through dynamic programming.

Weak amenability of weighted Orlicz algebras
Let G be a locally compact abelian group, $\omega:G\to (0,\infty)$ be a weight, and ($\Phi$,$\Psi$) be a complementary pair of strictly increasing continuous Young functions.

Existence Analysis of a Three‐Species Memristor Drift‐Diffusion System Coupled to Electric Networks
ABSTRACT The existence of global weak solutions to a partial‐differential‐algebraic system is proved. The system consists of the drift‐diffusion equations for the electron, hole, and oxide vacancy densities in a memristor device, the Poisson equation for the electric potential, and the differential‐algebraic equations for an electric network.

Key Technical Fields and Future Outlooks of Space Manipulators: A Survey
This paper systematically reviews the technological development of space manipulators, emphasizing the unique challenges posed by space environments. It examines four areas: structural design, modeling, planning, and control, while introducing typical ground test platforms.

Strategic Influencers and the Shaping of Beliefs
ABSTRACT Influencers, from propagandists to sellers, expend vast resources targeting agents who amplify their message through word‐of‐mouth communication. While agents differ in network position, they also differ in their bias: Agents may naturally read articles with a particular slant or buy products from a certain seller.

Why did Putin invade Ukraine? A theory of degenerate autocracy
Abstract Many dictatorships end up with a series of disastrous decisions such as Hitler's attack on the Soviet Union or Saddam Hussein's aggression against Kuwait. Even if a certain policy choice is not ultimately fatal for the regime, such as Mao's Big Leap Forward or the Pol Pot's collectivization drive, they typically involve both a miscalculation ...

Computing Skinning Weights via Convex Duality
We present an alternate optimization method to compute bounded biharmonic skinning weights. Our method relies on a dual formulation, which can be optimized with a nonnegative linear least squares setup. Abstract We study the problem of optimising for skinning weights through the lens of convex duality.

To Grandmother's House We Go: Informal Childcare and Female Labor Mobility
ABSTRACT We document how childcare costs and the location of extended family influence the labor supply and mobility of US women. Women return to their home locations immediately before fertility events, suggesting that informal childcare needs may motivate home migration. Women who live near their parents have lower child earnings penalties.

Derivations And Cohomological Groups Of Banach Algebras [PDF]
Let $B$ be a Banach $A-bimodule$ and let $n\geq 0$. We investigate the relationships between some cohomological groups of $A$, that is, if the topological center of the left module action $\pi_\ell:A\times B\rightarrow B$ of $A^{(2n)}$ on $B^{(2n)}$ is ...
