Analysis of variational inequalities with fractional curvilinear integral functionals

open access: yesResults in Applied Mathematics
This study examines weak sharp solutions for a category of variational inequalities incorporating functionals based on fractional curvilinear integrals, expanding the conventional approach with concepts from fractional calculus. Furthermore, by using the

Physico-Chemical Modeling of the Sulfo-Arsenide System of Gold Bearing Ore Deposits [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Economic and Environment Geology, 2010
The existence of gold-arsenic mineralization, the presence of enhanced concentrations of gold in arsenopyrite, especially in its fine grain varieties showing positive gold-arsenic ratios in gold-quartz and gold-pyritic ores indicate the important role of

The Augmented Weak Sharpness of Solution Sets in Equilibrium Problems

open access: yesMathematics
This study considers equilibrium problems, focusing on identifying finite solutions for feasible solution sequences. We introduce an innovative extension of the weak sharp minimum concept from convex programming to equilibrium problems, coining this as ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

On the Cauchy problem for a weakly coupled system of semi-linear $\sigma$-evolution equations with double dissipation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
In this paper, we would like to consider the Cauchy problem for a multi-component weakly coupled system of semi-linear $\sigma$-evolution equations with double dissipation for any $\sigma\ge 1$.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Metric Entropy for Functions of Bounded Total Generalized Variation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
We establish a sharp estimate for a minimal number of binary digits (bits) needed to represent all bounded total generalized variation functions taking values in a general totally bounded metric space (E, rho) up to an accuracy of epsilon > 0 with ...

Identification of a Shiga toxin A‐derived peptide internalized into Gb3 receptor‐bearing cells via interaction with the Shiga toxin B subunit

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

Asymptotic dynamics for the small data weakly dispersive one-dimensional hamiltonian abcd system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Consider the Hamiltonian abed system in one dimension, with data posed in the energy space H-1 x H-1. This model, introduced by Bona, Chen, and Saut, is a well-known physical generalization of the classical Boussinesq equations.

Weakly Elliptic Systems with Obstacle Constraints III. Complex Eigenvalues and Singular Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Using traditional methods, especially that of eigenfunction expansions combined with the penalty method, sharp conditions are given for the existence of solutions to general weakly elliptic linear N×N second order systems subjected to obstacle type ...
