IGA-Energetic BEM: An Effective Tool for the Numerical Solution of Wave Propagation Problems in Space-Time Domain

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
The Energetic Boundary Element Method (BEM) is a recent discretization technique for the numerical solution of wave propagation problems, inside bounded domains or outside bounded obstacles.

Convergence of singular integrals with general measures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We show that L2-bounded singular integrals in metric spaces with respect to general measures and kernels converge weakly. This implies a kind of average convergence almost everywhere.

Boundedness and convergence for singular integrals of measures separated by Lipschitz graphs

open access: yes, 2009
We shall consider the truncated singular integral operators T_{\mu, K}^{\epsilon}f(x)=\int_{\mathbb{R}^{n}\setminus B(x,\epsilon)}K(x-y)f(y)d\mu y and related maximal operators $T_{\mu,K}^{\ast}f(x)=\underset{\epsilon >0}{\sup}| T_{\mu,K}^{\epsilon}f(x)|$

AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.

Exciton Radiative Lifetimes in Hexagonal Diamond Ge and SixGe1–x Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Strong room‐temperature photoluminescence reported in hexagonal Ge conflicts with theory predicting a nearly dark band edge. First‐principles calculations of excitonic radiative lifetimes fill a key gap in this debate, showing that pristine hexagonal Ge remains intrinsically weakly emissive, while Si alloying only modestly shortens the lifetime and ...

Identification of Weakly Singular Relaxation Kernels in Three-Dimensional Viscoelasticity

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2001
The author is concerned with the following operator identification problem related to a Hilbert space \(X\), a Banach space \(Y\hookrightarrow X\) (densely) and to a closed subspace \(K\subset {\mathcal L}(X)\): determine a pair of functions \(u:(0,+\infty)\to X\) and \(M:(0,+\infty)\to K\) satisfying the equations \[ u''(t) = Au(t) - \int_0^t M(t-s)Bu(

Single‐Cell Metabolic Imaging and Digital Scoring of Fat Tissue Remodeling by Label‐Free Metabolic Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mid‐infrared optoacoustic microscopy (MiROM) acquires lipid‐ and protein‐ associated vibrational contrast in intact fat tissue without dyes, preserving native tissue architecture. Through lateral and axial segmentation, MiROM tracks intrinsic intracellular changes during postnatal remodeling. A quantitative spatial analysis tool (Q‐SAT) maps white‐ and

Causal Prediction of TP53 Variant Pathogenicity Using a Perturbation‐Informed Protein Language Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A TP53‐specific predictor, CaVepP53, is developed by fine‐tuning ESMC on experimentally validated variants, quantifying pathogenicity via Euclidean distances. It outperforms general‐purpose models and extends to five cancer genes, enabling interpretable variant classification for precision medicine.
