In this work, we present the notion of a weakly symmetric function. We show that the subset of all weakly symmetric elements of an arbitrary vector space of functions is a vector space.

On nowhere weakly symmetric functions and functions with two-element range [PDF]
The authors deal with two-valued functions \(f: R\to\{0,1\}\). In such a case the notion of the weak symmetry (resp., the weak symmetric continuity) can be formulated in the following way: There exists a sequence \(\{h_n\}\), \(h_n\to 0\), such that \(f(x+ h_n)= f(x- h_n)= f(x)\) (resp., \(f(x+ h_n)= f(x- h_n)\)) for each \(n\).

Block Sensitivity of Weakly Symmetric Functions
\textit{N. Nisan} [SIAM J. Comput. 20, No. 6, 999--1007 (1991; Zbl 0737.68028)] introduced the concept of block sensitivity of a Boolean function \(f\), denoted by \(\text{bs}(f)\), proved tight bounds for computing \(\text{bs}(f)\) on a CREW PRAM and showed that block sensitivity is polynomially related to many other measures of complexity.

We prove that there exists a nowhere weakly symmetric function $f: \mathbb{R} \rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ that is everywhere weakly symmetrically continuous and everywhere weakly continuous. Existence of a nowhere weakly symmetrically continuous function $f: \mathbb{R} \rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ that is everywhere weakly symmetric remains open.

The Källén-Lehmann representation in de Sitter spacetime
We study two-point functions of symmetric traceless local operators in the bulk of de Sitter spacetime. We derive the Källén-Lehmann spectral decomposition for any spin and show that unitarity implies its spectral densities are nonnegative.
