Chiral‐Nematic Lattice Instability in Charge Density Wave of 1T‐TiSe2
The charge density wave of 1T‐TiSe2 appears chiral to surface probes yet loses all symmetry in spectroscopic measurements. This study reveals how cooperative condensation of multiple phonon modes stabilizes a chiral monoclinic ground state, while a shallow nematic energy landscape allows the lattice to break the remaining symmetry at negligible cost ...

Improved Deformability of Co‐Free Medium Entropy Oxides by Controlled Entropy Destabilization
Controlled entropy destabilization activates defect‐mediated plasticity in Co‐free (CuMgNiZn)O by promoting pre‐existing Cu‐rich secondary phases that serve as defect sources. Temperature‐dependent dislocation activity evolves from limited motion at room temperature to extensive glide and stacking‐fault formation at 600 °C, enabling improved plasticity

Decoupling Stable Cyclic Deformation From Defect Accumulation in Metals
Introducing amorphous nanoparticles into a metal matrix enables a cyclic deformation regime where strain hardening and defect accumulation are decoupled. These nanoparticles act as dislocation sinks and undergo reversible shear transformations, sustaining microstructural stability over millions of cycles.

Laser‐Induced Rashba Spin‐Orbit Torques in Multiferroic Semiconductor (Ge,Mn)Te
Femtosecond optical excitation generates two distinct effective spin–orbit torques in the multiferroic semiconductor (Ge,Mn)Te. Photoinduced holes drive coherent magnetization precession through a subpicosecond shift of the easy axis, while changes in ferroelectric sublattice displacements modify magnetic ordering via the Rashba interaction.

Quantized Analog Inference Hardware Enabled by MoS2–Hf1‐xZrxO2 FeFET Synapses
A monolayer MoS2–HZO FeFET is presented as a pulse‐engineered neuromorphic device suitable for crossbar‐based analog computing. Programming‐pulse design enables tunable conductance trajectories for synaptic weight updates, while quantized machine‐learning approaches account for device variation, nonlinearity, and write noise, translating analog ...
