On the Non-Existence of Certain Types of Weakly Symmetric Manifold

Sarajevo Journal of Mathematics
An expression for the curvature tensor of a weakly symmetric manifold is obtained. Next it is shown that an Einstein weakly symmetric manifold of dimension $>2$ does not exist. Further it is proved that a conformally flat weakly symmetric manifold of dimension $>3$ is a quasi Einstein manifold.

Generalized weakly symmetric Sasakian manifolds

2023
Summary: In this parer, we give a necessary condition for Sasakian manifolds to be generalized weakly symmetric. We prove the odd-dimensional spheres are the only generalized weakly symmetric Sasakian manifolds. Then, we show that generalized weakly Ricci-symmetric Sasakian manifolds are Einstein.

On weakly symmetric and weakly Ricci symmetric warped product manifolds

Publicationes Mathematicae Debrecen, 2012
This paper is concerned with some results on weakly symmetric and weakly Ricci symmetric warped product manifolds. We prove the necessary and su-ci- ent condition for a warped product manifold to be weakly symmetric and weakly Ricci symmetric. On the basis of these results two proper examples of warped product weakly symmetric and weakly Ricci ...

Weakly conformally symmetric manifolds

Colloquium Mathematicum, 2017
We study the properties of weakly conformally symmetric pseudo-Riemannian manifolds, with particular emphasis on the 4-dimensional Lorentzian case. We provide a decomposition of the conformal curvature tensor in dimensions n ≥ 5. Moreover, some identities involving two particular covectors are stated; for example it is proven that under certain ...

On weakly semiconformally symmetric manifolds

Acta Mathematica Hungarica, 2018
The object of the present paper is to study weakly semiconformally symmetric manifolds (WSCS)n. At first some geometric properties of (WSCS)n (n > 2) have been studied. Finally, we consider the decomposability of (WSCS)n.

On weakly symmetric Riemannian manifolds

Publicationes Mathematicae Debrecen, 2007
A non-flat Riemannian manifold \((M^n,g)\) \((n>2)\) is called weakly symmetric -- and the denotes by \((WS)_n\) -- if its curvature tensor \(R\) of type \((0,4)\) satisfies the condition: \[ \begin{aligned} & (\nabla_XR)(Y,Z,U,V)=A(X)\cdot R(Y,Z,U,V)+B(Y)\cdot R(X,Z,U,V)\\ &\qquad +C(Z)\cdot R(Y,X,U,V) + D(U)\cdot R(Y,Z,X,V)+E(V)\cdot R(Y,Z,U,X) \end ...

On weakly symmetric Riemannian manifolds

Publicationes Mathematicae Debrecen, 1995
A nonflat Riemannian manifold \(V^n\) is called weakly symmetric (w.s.) if \(\nabla_r R_{hijk}=A_r R_{hijk}+B_h R_{rijk}+C_i R_{hrjk}+D_jR_{hirk}+E_k R_{hijr}\) [see \textit{T. Q.
