Distributed wireless network resource optimisation method based on mobile edge computing

open access: yesIET Networks, EarlyView., 2022
This paper mainly compares the network ranking leader, consumption amount and network signal reception of the three algorithms. The study found that in terms of network sort captain, there are significant differences between the CPLEX algorithm, the CCST algorithm, and edge computing methods. The CCST algorithm and edge computing have little difference

Military sexual trauma and mental health counseling: Effects on resilience over time among recent‐era U.S. veterans

open access: yesJournal of Traumatic Stress, EarlyView.
Abstract Military sexual trauma (MST) is prevalent and causes numerous deleterious effects on survivors. This study investigated the association between mental health counseling (MHC) and resilience among a large cohort of U.S. veterans who served in support of military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan following the September 11, 2001, terrorist ...

The prevalence of childhood bullying and violence victimization and subsequent risk of adult revictimization in the Norwegian population: A cross‐sectional study

open access: yesJournal of Traumatic Stress, EarlyView.
Abstract Revictimization research has largely ignored bullying victimization, and knowledge of the association between childhood bullying and adulthood revictimization is scarce. Research is also needed to explore whether bullying exposure in combination with childhood violence exacerbates the risk of revictimization. This study sought to address these

Radiocarbon analysis reveals decomposition of old soil organic carbon into dissolved inorganic carbon in a subtropical mangrove ecosystem

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography, EarlyView.
Abstract The outwelling of remineralized dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) from the subsurface soil layer through tidal pumping has recently been noted for its importance in the blue carbon budget of mangroves. However, the age of soil organic carbon (SOC) that has been decomposed into DIC remains uncertain.

MARS: Programmable multipurpose auto‐release system for aquatic observations

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography: Methods, EarlyView.
Abstract Aquatic biodiversity assessments are often labor‐intensive due to the large size of the equipment and the complex logistics of sea vessel operations. Traditional drift and drop cameras are typically tethered to the surface, causing cable and line clutter on sea vessels.

When Food Scanner Apps Outperform Front‐of‐Pack Nutrition Labels: A Conditional Process Model to Foster Healthier Food Choices in Times of Growing Distrust

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT While consumers increasingly use food scanner apps as an alternative to front‐of‐pack labels, the effectiveness of these nutritional signals in promoting healthier food choices remains a topic of debate. This study examines when and under what conditions food scanner apps encourage healthier eating and outperform front‐of‐pack nutrition labels.

Gag Gifting: The Joke and the Poke

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Gag gifting is a ritual involving a gift along with a joke at the expense of the recipient (i.e., a “poke”). This study shows that gag gifting occurs frequently, at various occasions. Findings from a qualitative study illustrate the way gag gifts are purchased or handmade into unique or personalized items.

Degradation strategies for structural characterization of insoluble synthetic polymers by mass spectrometry

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
Abstract With the advent of soft ionization techniques such as electrospray (ESI) and matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) to produce intact gas‐phase ions from nonvolatile macromolecules, mass spectrometry has become an essential technique in the field of polymeric materials.
