Flexible and wearable antennas

2018
in this chapter discusses the planar-inverted F-antenna (PIFA) is used for the wearable application, which reduces the effect of radiation on the human body by reducing the radiated power towards the body. As the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) transmitted power is reduced, the battery life is increased. This performance is achieved due to

Compact Antenna for Wearable Applications

2018 2nd URSI Atlantic Radio Science Meeting (AT-RASC), 2018
CATRASC2018Antennawearable. The body effects on the antenna performance suggest design approaches that provide isolation between human tissues and the radiator without seriously affecting its radiation capability. A novel element based on a CPW-fed version of a multiple-arm dipole is investigated with the aim of exploiting its features with properly ...

Wearable antenna with tripolarization capability

2017 International Workshop on Antenna Technology: Small Antennas, Innovative Structures, and Applications (iWAT), 2017
A wearable antenna with tripolarization diversity is designed in the 2.4 GHz band. An inductive loaded circular monopolar patch with a microstrip annular ring are combined to realize the tripolarization. Simulated and measured results yield a sufficient bandwidth for WBAN.

Dual-band wearable textile antenna

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Symposium, 2004., 2004
Future utilization of smart clothing will necessitate applications of multi-function and multifrequency wearable antennas. This work addresses the development of a dual-band textile antenna for wearable applications. The antenna is for GSM operation in the 1900 MHz band and for WLAN operation in the 2.4 GHz band.
