A Novel Wearable Sensor for Measuring Respiration Continuously and in Real Time
In this work, a flexible textile-based capacitive respiratory sensor, based on a capacitive sensor structure, that does not require direct skin contact is designed, optimised, and evaluated using both computational modelling and empirical measurements ...

This study explores the replacement of cobalt using the high‐entropy alloy design strategy for wear‐resistant components operating at high temperatures. Starting from the Cantor alloy, cobalt is substituted with Cu, Al, V, or Mo. Metallurgical and tribological analyses reveal that aluminum, vanadium, and molybdenum effectively strengthen the developed ...

Gait characteristics in people with Friedreich ataxia: daily life versus clinic measures
IntroductionGait assessments in a clinical setting may not accurately reflect mobility in everyday life. To better understand gait during daily life, we compared measures that discriminated Friedreich ataxia (FRDA) from healthy control (HC) subjects in ...

Rheocasting versus Die Casting: An Insight into the Low‐Cycle Fatigue Behavior of AlSi7Mg0.6
The study compares rheocast lightweight components with high‐pressure die cast materials regarding microstructure and fatigue behavior. Rheocast process offers higher efficiency due to lower casting temperatures. Despite some microstructural differences, both processes show similar strengths (yield strength 125 MPa, tensile strength 240 MPa).

The factors and conditions that affect the success or failure of information technology (IT) investments are still not well understood. One proxy for measuring success is stock performance. In this paper we explore the contribution of internal business practices, specifically the cost management system used by firms, on the stock price reaction to ...
