Weather/forecasting: a fishers’ forecaster
Action research by the University of Sussex is bringing fishermen and scientists together to track wind, and waves and save lives. Seen from the air, Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala state in south India, looks like a magic carpet – a long strip of golden sand separating a vast green canopy of coconut palms and the turquoise shimmer of ...

Aromaticity‐Dependent Memristive Switching
The article describes a resistive switching mechanism based on the creation of virtual filaments. Research consists of experimental and theoretical data supporting the theory that resistance of the memristor can be modulated by a redox‐induced aromaticity change of a working material.

The artificial UV photoelectric spiking neuron baesd on the LIF circuit is built by integrating a physically transient TS device and an UV photodetector. Artificial photoelectric spiking neuron can selectively detect UV stimuli and encode them into electrical spikes, compensating for this deficiency of human vision and promising for implantable optical
