Hybrid Solar Spectral‐Splitting Photovoltaic‐Thermal Hydrogen Production Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A hybrid solar photovoltaic‐thermal hydrogen system with membrane‐less electrolysis significantly boosts solar‐to‐hydrogen efficiency by co‐using thermal and electrical energy. The system attains good performance under variable irradiance with direct current power converters.

Bioinspired Liquid‐Free Ion‐Conductive Elastomers with Ultrahigh Mechanical Strength and Excellent Ionic Conductivity for Multifunctional Flexible Sensing Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
⁻Inspired by the “brick wall” structure of pearl layer, FLICE‐110% liquid‐free ionic conductive elastomer had high mechanical strength (5.46 MPa), excellent ionic conductivity (3.29 × 10−4 S cm−1) and resilience. It can be used in smart music boxes, airplane wings and control manipulators.

Aromaticity‐Dependent Memristive Switching

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The article describes a resistive switching mechanism based on the creation of virtual filaments. Research consists of experimental and theoretical data supporting the theory that resistance of the memristor can be modulated by a redox‐induced aromaticity change of a working material.

Enhancing the Capacitive Memory Window of HZO FeCap Through Nanolaminate Stack Design

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that controlling critical fields in I–V curves using a nanolaminate (NL) design enhances the CMWε. Through electrical and physical analysis, the root of superior characteristics of the NL stack is uncovered, supported by the LGD model and presence of extra critical fields.

Amorphous Gallium‐Oxide‐Based Non‐Filamentary Memristive Device with Highly Repeatable Multiple Resistance States

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A fully back‐end‐of‐line (BEOL) compatible memristive device is proposed using an amorphous gallium oxide (a‐GaOx) film grown by plasma‐enhanced atomic layer deposition. Bipolar resistive analog switching is achieved without requiring forming and with a self‐rectifying behavior.
