We show that results in the recent strand of the literature, which tries to explain stock returns by weather induced mood shifts of investors, might be data-driven inference. More specifically, we consider two recent studies [Kamstra, Mark J., Kramer, Lisa A., Levi, Maurice D., 2003a. Winter blues: A SAD stock market cycle.

Coronavirus In some quarters, it is hoped that increased humidity and higher temperatures over the Northern Hemisphere in the summer will snuff out the 2020 severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic. In reality, the situation is likely to be more complicated than that. Baker et al.

Weathering Is Not Under the Weather
Science, 2001GEOLOGY Chemical weathering of silicates is thought to help regulate Earth's atmospheric temperature, because weathering removes CO2 from the air. Higher temperatures speed the rate of chemical weathering, and thus warmer climates should decrease positive radiative forcing by CO2 and ultimately act to lower temperature.

Weathering and weathering processes
Quarterly Journal of Engineering Geology, 1995Abstract Definitions of weathering are examined and a definition of weathering for geotechnical purposes is proposed. Weathering is achieved by weathering processes, which depend upon the nature of the new environment to which the geological materials are introduced. Weathering processes are reviewed with particular reference to examples from
