Using [delta] ph as a geochemical index of illite neoformation in saprolite [PDF]
Sal pH is routinely measured for agronomic purposes. When the difference between KCI pH and H2O pH, or ApH, yields positive values, it is used by soil scientists as a classification criterion for identifying anionic subgroups according to the Soil ...

Atmospheric CO2 consumption by continental erosion : present-day controls and implications for the last glacial maximum [PDF]
The export of carbon from land to sea by rivers represents a major link in the global carbon cycle. For all principal carbon forms, the main factors that control the present-day fluxes at the global scale have been determined in order to establish global

A Scalable, Durable, Fire‐Safe All‐Day Passive Radiative Cooling Coating for Sustainable Buildings
This study reports a scalable, durable coating that combines a fire‑retardant copolymer adhesive, hollow glass microspheres, and boron oxide to achieve passive radiative cooling with over 94% solar reflectance and >95% mid‑infrared emissivity. The coating maintains performance after UV and rain exposure and exhibits UL‑94 V‑0 fire resistance, enabling ...

Boron isotopes fractionation and its application progress in groundwater research
Boron (B) is ubiquitous in natural water bodies and rocks. Because of the large relative mass difference between the two stable isotopes of B, 10B and 11B, the B isotopes are susceptible to significant fractionation.

Evidence of hydrological control of Sr behavior in stream water (Strengbach catchment, Vosges mountains, France) [PDF]
Strontium and particularly 87Sr/86Sr ratios in stream water have often been used to calculate weathering rates in catchments. Nevertheless, in the literature, discharge variation effects on the geochemical behavior of Sr are often omitted or considered ...

Predicting Changes in Hillslope Freeze–Thaw Potential Due To Climate Change
Freeze‐thaw (FT) is a key hillslope weathering process in cold regions, influencing hillslope stability and sediment delivery to rivers. To understand how climate change will impact FT, we conducted field monitoring in the Pekerebetsu River basin ...
