Extending Java web applications for Semantic Web
ITI 2008 - 30th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces, 2008To become a part of forthcoming Semantic Web, it will be necessary to add semantic technologies into existing web applications. In our effort to extend existing web applications for the Semantic Web, the aim of our research is to address the critical and challenging problem of preserving role separation in development and maintenance of such ...

Sink Web Pages in Web Application
2012In this paper, we present the notion of sink web pages in a web application. These pages allow identifying a reduced scheme of the web application, which can lead to simplifying the method of testing and verifying the entire web application. We believe that this notion can be useful in the partially supervised learning.

“Modeling-by-Patterns” of Web Applications
1999"A pattern ... describes a problem which occurs over and over again in our environment, and then describes the core of the solution to that problem, in such a way that you can use this solution a million times over" [1]. The possible benefits of using design patterns for Web applications are clear.

Analysis and testing of Web applications
Proceedings of the 23rd International Conference on Software Engineering. ICSE 2001, 2005The economic relevance of Web applications increases the importance of controlling and improving their quality. Moreover, the new available technologies for their development allow the insertion of sophisticated functions, but often leave the developers responsible for their organization and evolution.

Web Services in Web Applications
2004We’ve looked at the creation of web applications, connecting these applications to data sources, and then adding XML functionality to them. In this chapter, you’ll make use of what you’ve learned from the previous chapters, applying that knowledge to a different aspect of web development that opens up a wealth of new functionality: web services.
