ABSTRACT This paper examines the impact of multinational enterprises' (MNEs') engagement in sustainable development on their degree of internationalisation. Specifically, we investigate MNEs' participation in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and find that their commitment to UNGC enhances their level of internationalisation.
