Valorizing denim and Polyethylene sheet waste to fiber‐reinforced composites
Impact Behavior of Fiber‐Reinforced Composite Materials: Fabrication, Testing, and Performance Analysis. Abstract 75% of textile waste ends up in landfills globally due to inappropriate recycling or upcycling infrastructure. One of the possible solutions to bring this waste to life is to convert it into composite materials.

Robust β‐myrcene block copolymer elastomeric vitrimers
Myrcene‐based vitrimeric elastomers were compared: statistical (poly(styrene‐stat‐myrcene‐stat‐AAEMA)] versus ‘hard–soft’ diblock (poly(styrene)‐block‐poly(myrcene‐co‐AAEMA)). The diblock's ability to anchor the glassy poly(styrene) blocks in a self‐assembled microstructure was effective – leading to four times higher tensile stress and ten times ...

Load‐Induced Shear Band Formation in Microscale Epoxy Materials
ABSTRACT Thermosetting polymer thin films exhibit distinct mechanical behaviors at the microscopic scale compared to bulk materials. Experimental results reveal significant necking and unexpected shear band formation under tensile load. This study investigates the mechanisms underlying shear band formation in epoxy resin systems composed of bisphenol ...

Testing an integrated approach for managing roof rats in citrus orchards
A roof rat management program that combined diphacinone bait application with snap trapping was more efficacious than baiting alone or a management program that included bait, snap traps, and Goodnature A24 traps. Efficacy and cost comparisons suggest that combining baiting and snap trapping will provide long‐term relief from roof rats.

Freedom‐amelioration, transformative change, and emancipatory orders
Abstract “Freedom” is a fundamental political concept: contestations or endorsements of freedom‐conceptions concern the fundamental normative orientation of sociopolitical orders. Focusing on “freedom,” this article argues that the project of bringing about emancipatory sociopolitical orders is both aided by efforts at engineering fundamental political

A comparative study on fatigue indicator parameters for near‐α titanium alloys
Abstract Nucleation of in‐service cracks leads to detrimental consequences for structural components of near‐α titanium alloys subjected to fatigue loads. Experimental observations show that the fatigue initiation facets usually form in certain crystallographic orientation ranges of “hard” primary α grains which differ between pure and dwell fatigue ...
