Database-Driven Web Mashups [PDF]
In most web mashup applications, the content is generated using either web feeds or an application programming interface (API) based on web services. Both approaches have limitations. Data models provided by web feeds are not powerful enough to permit complex data structures to be transmitted.

Web Mashups with WebMakeup [PDF]
Modding refers to the act of modifying hardware, software, or virtually anything else, to perform a function not originally conceived or intended by the designer. The rationales for modding should be sought in the aspiration of users to contextualize to their own situation the artefact at hand. Websites are not exception.

Security of Web Mashups: A Survey [PDF]
Web mashups, a new web application development paradigm, combine content and services from multiple origins into a new service. Web mashups heavily depend on interaction between content from multiple origins and communication with different origins. Contradictory, mashup security relies on separation for protecting code and data.

Social media and deep learning reveal specific cultural preferences for biodiversity
Abstract Social media has created new opportunities to map cultural ecosystem services (CES) related to biodiversity at large scales. However, using these novel data to understand people's preferences in relation to these CES remains a challenge. To address this, we trained a deep learning model to capture people's interactions with selected flora and ...

Abstract The global environmental situation presents humans with challenges of unprecedented complexity, and research into the multiple values of nature aims to inform decision‐making in the context of this complexity. Research suggests that creativity can be a crucial tool in confronting complexity, crises and novel situations.

Short Abstract Against the global rise of variants of authoritarian neoliberalism, current debate on the intersections of law and neoliberalism tends to emphasise law's role in maintaining rather than subverting hegemony. Drawing on evidence collected through a 3‐year institutional ethnography of the labour movement in Cambodia, I move away from these ...

An Efficient Dynamic Programming Algorithm for Finding Group Steiner Trees in Temporal Graphs
The computation of a group Steiner tree (GST) in various types of graph networks, such as social network and transportation network, is a fundamental graph problem in graphs, with important applications. In these graphs, time is a common and necessary dimension, for example, time information in social network can be the time when a user sends a message
