Web Communities: Models and Algorithms
World Wide Web, 2004In the last few years, a lot of research has been devoted to developing new techniques for improving the recall and the precision of current web search engines. Few works deal with the interesting problem of identifying the communities to which pages belong. Most of the previous approaches try to cluster data by means of spectral techniques or by means

Abstract The web-model: A new model of explanation for neuroimaging studies What can neuroimaging tell us about the relation between our brain and our mind? A lot, or so I argue.

Modeling Web maintenance centers through queue models
Proceedings Fifth European Conference on Software Maintenance and Reengineering, 2001The Internet and the World Wide Web's pervasiveness are changing the landscape of several different areas, ranging from information gathering/managing and commerce to software development, maintenance and evolution. Traditional telephone-centric services, such as ordering of goods, maintenance/repair intervention requests and bug/defect reporting, are ...

Modeling Web Attachment Storage for Web Applications
2014 21st Asia-Pacific Software Engineering Conference, 2014Web application performance plays vital role in application usability and adaptability to its intended users. There are many factors, which attributes towards overall performance enhancements. One of them is that how efficiently a web application under peak load stores or retrieves the web-attached documents. In this paper, we have described a document

Modeling the microbial food web
Microbial Ecology, 1994Models of the microbial food web have their origin in the debate over the importance of bacteria as an energetic subsidy for higher trophic levels leading to harvestable fisheries. Conceptualization of the microbial food web preceded numerical models by 10-15 years. Pomeroy's work was central to both efforts.

Some people consider an application model to be the application architecture. I prefer to draw a distinction between the two. I treat architecture as a set of rules established for an entire system or solution. We looked at the architecture for Web services in Chapter 2, which laid out a foundation for us.

Web Page Recommendation Model for Web Personalization
2004Web usage mining has gained more popularity among researchers in discovering the users browsing behavior mining the web server log that records all the users’ transactions activities. In this paper, we developed a usage model for predictions based on association rule. Similarity between items contained in the active user profile will be calculated upon

“Modeling-by-Patterns” of Web Applications
1999"A pattern ... describes a problem which occurs over and over again in our environment, and then describes the core of the solution to that problem, in such a way that you can use this solution a million times over" [1]. The possible benefits of using design patterns for Web applications are clear.

Model-Checking Web Applications with Web-TLR
2010WEB-TLR is a software tool designed for model-checking Web applications which is based on rewriting logic. Web applications are expressed as rewrite theories which can be formally verified by using the Maude built-in LTLR model-checker. Web-TLR is equipped with a userfriendly, graphical Web interface that shields the user from unnecessary information ...

Conceptual modelling of Web applications, workflows and Web services
Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Properties and Applications of Dielectric Materials (Cat. No.03CH37417), 2004Conceptual modelling has recently gained attention as a means for formalizing the development process of Web applications, opening the way to the benefits of software engineering also in the Web context. New applications demand the extension of hypertextual front-ends with workflow functionality and with the ability of interacting with remote Web ...
