Tryptophan metabolite atlas uncovers organ, age, and sex‐specific variations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Tryptophan metabolites were analyzed across twelve organs, the central nervous system, and serum in male and female mice at three life stages. We found tissue‐, sex‐, and age‐specific differences, including increased indole‐3‐pyruvate and kynurenine in aging males.

Longitudinal Relationship Between Pain and Depression in People With Inflammatory Arthritis: A Narrative Review

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
As many patients with inflammatory arthritis (IA) have chronic pain, understanding how to best assess and manage pain in IA is a priority. Geospatial mapping and navigation of the web [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 10th international conference on World Wide Web, 2001
Web pages may be organized, indexed, searched, and navigated along several di erent feature dimensions. We investigate di erent approaches to discovering geographic context for web pages, and describe a navigational tool for browsing web resources by geographic proximity.

Development of a personalized visualization and analysis tool to improve clinical care in complex multisystem diseases with application to scleroderma

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Background In complex diseases, it is challenging to assess a patient's disease state, trajectory, treatment exposures, and risk of multiple outcomes simultaneously, efficiently and at the point of care. Methods We developed an interactive patient‐level data visualization and analysis tool (VAT) that automates illustration of a scleroderma patient's ...

LOXHD1 and RHOB Expression by Monocytes Predicts Progressive Systemic Sclerosis associated Interstitial Lung Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective A leading cause of death among scleroderma (SSc) patients, interstitial lung disease (ILD) remains challenging to prognosticate. The discovery of biomarkers that accurately determine which patients would benefit from close monitoring and aggressive therapy would be an essential clinical tool.

A fine grained heuristic to capture web navigation patterns [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
In previous work we have proposed a statistical model to capture the user behaviour when browsing the web. The user navigation information obtained from web logs is modelled as a hypertext probabilistic grammar (HPG) which is within the class of regular

Digital behavioral therapy improves outcome in patients with axial spondyloarthritis and persistent pain: a randomized controlled trial

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objectives Axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) is often associated with persistent pain despite effective anti‐inflammatory treatment. Digital health applications (DHA) provide innovative approaches to address multidimensional aspects of persistent pain through psychological and behavioral strategies. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of a DHA

A 3D Model Based Imdoor Navigation System for Hubei Provincial Museum [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2013
3D models are more powerful than 2D maps for indoor navigation in a complicate space like Hubei Provincial Museum because they can provide accurate descriptions of locations of indoor objects (e.g., doors, windows, tables) and context information of ...
