Querying and Integrating Spatial–Temporal Information on the Web of Data Via Time Geography

open access: yesJournal of Web Semantics, 2015
The Web of Data is a rapidly growing collection of datasets from a wide range of domains, many of which have spatial-temporal aspects. Hagerstrand's time geography has proven useful for thinking about and understanding the movements and spatial-temporal ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Dynamics of social contagions with heterogeneous adoption thresholds: crossover phenomena in phase transition

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
Heterogeneous adoption thresholds exist widely in social contagions, such as behavior spreading, but were always neglected in previous studies. To this end, we introduce heterogeneous adoption threshold distribution into a non-Markovian spreading ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Towards leveraging explicit negative statements in knowledge graph embeddings

open access: yesWeb Semantics
Knowledge Graphs are used in various domains to represent knowledge about entities and their relations. In the vast majority of cases, they capture what is known to be true about those entities, i.e., positive statements, while the Open World Assumption ...
