QUERY RECOMMENDATIONS AND ITS EVALUATION IN WEB INFORMATION RETRIEVAL [PDF]

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Soft Computing, 2015
Search Engine retrieves significant and essential information from the web based on query terms given by the user. Due to the lack of background knowledge about the information required, shorter length queries posed by the user, the ambiguity of query ...

Evaluation of Query Generators for Entity Search Engines [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
Dynamic web applications such as mashups need efficient access to web data that is only accessible via entity search engines (e.g. product or publication search engines). However, most current mashup systems and applications only support simple keyword searches for retrieving data from search engines.

Query Chains: Learning to Rank from Implicit Feedback

open access: yes, 2005
This paper presents a novel approach for using clickthrough data to learn ranked retrieval functions for web search results. We observe that users searching the web often perform a sequence, or chain, of queries with a similar information need.

Intelligent Agent Based Semantic Web in Cloud Computing Environment [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
Considering today's web scenario, there is a need of effective and meaningful search over the web which is provided by Semantic Web. Existing search engines are keyword based. They are vulnerable in answering intelligent queries from the user due to the dependence of their results on information available in web pages.

Colossal Terahertz Emission with Ultrafast Tunability Based on Van der Waals Ferroelectric NbOI2

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
The widespread THz applications are hindered by the scarcity of efficient ultrafast THz sources with on‐demand fast modulation and easy on‐chip integration capability. Here the discovery of colossal THz emission is reported from a van der Waals (vdW) ferroelectric semiconductor NbOI2 and demonstrates the ultrafast coherent control of the THz emission ...

Altered Brain‐Behavior Association During Resting State is a Potential Psychosis Risk Marker

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study detects a potential multimodal biomarker that can be promising for identifying early markers of psychosis. It shows a consistent brain‐behavior association between a circuit of interconnected regions and executive function in neurotypical controls and individuals at various stages of psychosis.
