Multiscale Analysis of Sediment Dynamics Associated With Reservoir Flushing Operations
Quantified rates of fine sediment deposition along the 30 km river segment after two long consecutive flushing events followed by two river “washing” events. Grain size distributions showed reduction in median particle size after flushing, with minimal recovery after 1 year. Bedload transport was initiated in most studied locations.
