Advances in Triboelectric Nanogenerators With Rotating Structure

open access: yesCarbon Energy, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2026.
The rotating TENG has been widely studied for its superiorities of simple structure, high efficiency, and stable output. This review introduced the four different principles of rotating TENG and offered a thorough summary for performance and application research through three‐level classification. Importantly, the current existing problems, challenges,

Hot water extract of turmeric (Curcuma longa) prevents non-alcoholic steatohepatitis in mice by inhibiting hepatic oxidative stress and inflammation

open access: yesJournal of Nutritional Science, 2018
Curcuma longa, also known as turmeric, has long been used as a medicinal herb with various biological effects. A hot water extract of C. longa (WEC) has been reported to show antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity, but its effect on hepatic ...

Analysis and wave tank verification of the performance of point absorber WECs with different configurations

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, 2021
Extracting energy from ocean waves has become a heated topic since the energy crisis of the 2000s. Among all the different concepts and designs of Wave Energy Converter (WEC), point absorber is a widely adopted type with great potential, and various ...

Quantifying Bite Forces for Solid Foods: Implications for Patients Postmandibular Reconstruction

open access: yesHead &Neck, Volume 48, Issue 2, Page 346-356, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Bite forces required to masticate different food consistencies remain unknown, complicating dietary guidelines following mandibular reconstruction. This study quantifies the forces required for solid foods and estimates safe bite limits postreconstruction.

Spontaneous violation of the energy conditions

open access: yes, 2004
A decade ago, it was shown that a wide class of scalar-tensor theories can pass very restrictive weak field tests of gravity and yet exhibit non-perturbative strong field deviations away from General Relativity.

ULTRA‐Metrics

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 2, Page 383-400, February 2026.
Objectives Ultrasound competency is critical in modern healthcare, yet no standardized framework currently supports ultrasound skill monitoring across diverse clinical settings and user types. Existing frameworks often lack generalizability, overemphasize exam counts, and fail to assess key skills such as interpretation, limiting ultrasound's safe and ...

Advection-Based Coordinated Control for Wave-Energy Converter Array

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
This paper presents a coordinated control based on the advection consensus control algorithm to implement power dispatch for each wave-energy converter (WEC) in a WEC array.

Impact of Structural Heterogeneities in Hierarchically Grown Microribbons on 2D WS2 Monolayer on the Measured Local Hydrogen Evolution Activity on Au Substrate

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 10, 17 February 2026.
Spatially resolved SECCM measurements reveal that hierarchically grown microribbons on 2D WS2 drastically suppress local HER activity. Relative to the basal plane of the 2D monolayer directly supported on an Au substrate, single‐layer and multilayer microribbons exhibit more than a ∼5‐fold and >10‐fold decrease in current density, respectively.
